At APC we offer an array of services to assist individual appraisers, lenders, AMCs, and the staffs of all three.
FOR AMCs AND LENDERS:
Compliance Assessmentis a third-party audit of compliance relative to the Dodd/Frank Act, the Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines, and other applicable regulatory guidelines. The assessment will specifically focus on identifying operational and regulator risk associated with the functions of an appraisal management company (AMC). It includes an examination of policies, procedures, and process flow.
Upon completion, a report of the findings will be provided which includes an identification of policy gaps or areas of risk and/or exposure for the AMC.
This assessment may be ordered by an AMC, or by a lender that contracts with an AMC.
VENDOR and STAFF TRAINING is group training customized to the needs of the client and can be in-person or online. The object is to improve the quality of reports by appraisers and the productivity of staff. Post-training monitoring of efficiency is available, as is staff USPAP training.
Appraisal Defender assists appraisers in preparing the best response possible to complaints, etc.
Mentorship provides one-on-one instruction for appraisers who want it, or for those who are required to do so in order to resolve a complaint.
USPAP Check-Up is a quick (two hours) examination of an appraiser's appraisal report and workfile for compliance with USPAP and guidelines, as well as feedback on report writing.
